Pivotal Rail Products provides specialized repair services for Generation III Automated Single Car Test Devices (ASCTDs) and 4-pressure hose systems. Our team focuses exclusively on ASCTD equipment, allowing us to diagnose issues accurately, perform high-quality repairs, and return units to service with confidence.
Once your ASCTD is received at our facility, it is logged, inspected, and evaluated to identify reported issues as well as any underlying concerns that could impact performance. Our technicians perform required repairs, replace or rebuild components as needed, and update software when applicable.
Before shipment, each unit undergoes complete functionality testing, including 4-pressure single car tests, to confirm proper operation. Units must pass all internal testing and calibration requirements to be considered repaired.
Our repair services cover a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, including:
Pilot valve rebuilds and replacements to restore proper pressure control and system performance.
Diagnosis and replacement of faulty solenoids to ensure reliable actuation and testing accuracy.
Battery replacement and verification to support dependable operation in the field.
Troubleshooting and repair of electrical components, wiring, and internal electronics.
Complete functionality testing using in-house single car test stations and certified equipment.
Additional services may include software updates, Wi-Fi card upgrades, filter replacement, and general system evaluation.
Typical repair turnaround time is approximately 4–5 weeks from receipt of the unit at our repair facility to shipment back to the customer. Actual turnaround may vary depending on condition, parts availability, and repair scope.
Pivotal Rail Products offers a 4-pressure hose upgrade. This upgrade includes replacing the CBP hose line with a 1/4” ID hydraulic hose line designed for air applications, which also includes the appropriate JIC fittings to integrate with the pre-existing 4-pressure hose.
Heavy duty hose sleeve, with industrial heat shrink, is applied to the hose to increase durability during use in the field.
